Program:1st day, 11:00 am Transfer from meeting point Medeo & Shymbulak mountain resort, cable cars up to 3rd level (round trip) City tour with following places: Panfilov Park, Memorial of Glory and Eternal Flame, Central State Museum, Kok-Tobe Hill by cable cars (round trip), 19:00 Transfer back to meeting point. 2nd day, 10:00 Transfer from meeting point Huns Ethno-Village introduction with Kazakh traditions, 13:00 Kazakh lunch followed by horse show, 16:00 Transfer back to city
Day One:
Medeo & Shymbulak:
The Medeo ice rink, built in 1972, is located at 1691 meters above sea level and is famous worldwide. The ice surface occupies 10.500 square meters and often hosts competitions of skating, hockey and figure skating.
The «Shymbulak» ski resort is situated in the picturesque location of Zailiysky Alatau Mountain, 2260 meters above sea level and around 25 kilometers from the city center of Almaty. An elevator at the resort leads to a height of 3163 meters above sea level.
Panfilov Park
The Park of the 28 Panfilov Guardsmen is an urban park located in the centre-east areas of Almaty, and surrounds the Ascension Cathedral. It is named after the Panfilov heroes – 28 soldiers from the Alma-Ata Infantry unit who died while defending Moscow from the German invasion during the Second World War.
The Ascension Cathedral, or Zenkov Cathedral, is a Russian Orthodox church located at the centre of Panfilov Park. It was completed in 1907, and is completely is made out of wood without the use of nails. It is 56 meters tall and is claimed to be the second-tallest wooden church in the world.
Memorial of Glory and Eternal Flame
The Memorial of Glory is a memorial complex in Almaty and is also located inside of 28 Panfilov Park. From the Memorial, it is possible to move rapidly to Republic Square and the Independence Monument and feel the energy of the Apple city and its history!
Central State Museum & Kok-Tobe Hill
The largest museum in Almaty and one of the largest in Central Asia.
Visiting Kok-Tobe Hill, where the tallest TV tower in the world is located. A short ride from the top of the hill to the city center through the famous Almaty cableway is also possible.
Day Two:
Huns Ethno-Village
We offer you to plunge into the traditional environment of the Kazakh people and have an immersive experience of the nomadic life. Kazakh people honor ancestral customs and traditions, and the core of their national character is hospitality, which in the Kazakh society is considered to be a sacred duty. In the Ethno-village you will be introduced to the traditional lifestyle, customs and culture of the Kazakh people.
