Once upon a time, there lived a king who could understand the language of birds. His love for them was so deep that he forgot about everything else around him. In a grand palace, the bored and lonely Queen, jealous that her husband’s affection for the birds had outgrown his love for her, was persuaded by a cunning crow to demand that the King build her a dazzling white palace made from bird bones. What choice will the King make? Will he grant his beloved’s wish, or will he stay true to his winged friends?
