Mama! Just four letters, yet what a resonant and tender sound! The word «mama» is beautiful in every language. It carries an endless amount of love and care, given with all the heart. The heart of a woman who gave birth and raised her child is capable of performing true miracles for them.

This play by Barzu Abdurazzakov is a psychological drama centred on two characters, a mother and her son. It reveals how, stepping into adult life, we often grow distant from our parents. Why does this happen? Do we want independence, or are we simply short on time? And when was the last time you called your mother and asked how she was doing?

The theatre actors hope that after watching the play, every spectator will feel the urge to call their parents and say something kind and warm. Let us not forget them or push them away. After all, we call so rarely, we speak so seldom, especially once we have families of our own.
