English Comedy Kz

English Comedy Kz is a community of independent comedians performing stand-up in English in Astana and Karaganda.
The project is curated by Shugyla Sagynbekova, a comedian from Karaganda. Since 2023, she has been organising English-language shows. In 2024, after returning from Chicago, she held the first solo stand-up performance in English in Astana. The show sold out completely, and among the guests was the former US Ambassador.
