The «Kurara» band is one of the hallmarks of the modern Ural music scene. The band has ten studio albums to their name, the latest of which, «PP», was released in late summer 2023. In 2024, the group celebrated its 20th anniversary.

In 2012, the band opened for the British musician Tricky during his Russian tour in 4 cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, and Nizhny Novgorod. The song «Kurara Chibana» became the title soundtrack for the series «Dead Lake,» and the track «Nasdvoe» opens the film «The Man from Podolsk,» which was awarded the «Mikael Tariverdiev Prize for Best Music in a Film» at Kinotavr 2020. Their ninth studio album, «Brut,» was included in the TOP-10 releases of the month according to «Kommersant» and Colta, as well as the TOP-95 of the year by Forbes magazine. Currently, the band is working on a new record.
