When Toys Awaken

Playing with toys in childhood is essential for a child’s intellectual growth that is beyond doubt. But have we ever paused to consider how harmful modern gadgets mobile phones, computers, tablets can be for a young mind still taking shape? This fairy tale tells the story of a child who once spent happy days playing with ordinary toys and developing naturally. For his birthday, however, his parents present him with a mobile phone. Fascinated by the new device, the boy gradually loses interest in his beloved toys. Feeling abandoned and unwanted, the toys grow sad and lonely. One day, the mobile phone turns the child into a robot. Now under its control, the boy obeys every command even throwing his toys into the rubbish. Realising their owner is in danger, the toys unite to save him. They bravely battle the mobile phone and eventually triumph. The boy returns to normal and realises it was all just a frightening dream. From that moment on, he promises to play with his toys again and to use the phone only for good to greet loved ones on holidays and to learn more about his world and his homeland through the internet.
