Under the Sign of Mozart
Classical Music Concert Series
Under the Sign of Mozart
(Marking the 270th anniversary of the composer)
Running time: 1 hour 30 minutes
The concert series “Under the Sign of Mozart” is dedicated to the great representative of the Viennese Classical school, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and embraces the full breadth of his legacy – from monumental choral masterpieces to refined chamber works.
The evening’s programme features the Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major, one of Mozart’s most celebrated instrumental concertos. The soloist is Dinara Sartai.
The culmination of the concert will be the Requiem, the composer’s final work and his spiritual testament. It will be performed by a combined choir uniting the ensembles of the Astana Opera House, the Ye. Rakhmadiyev State Academic Philharmonic, and the K. Baiseitova Kazakh National University of Arts. These large-scale performing forces will lend the work particular grandeur and power.
The second concert of the “Under the Sign of Mozart” series invites audiences to an emotionally rich encounter with the music of a composer whose legacy remains an enduring treasure of world musical culture to this day.
