«Shamshi»

What did the imagination of the great composer, known as the «Waltz King», long for? What tormented his soul, and why did he yearn to soar like a bird? Prominent poet Serik Turgynbekuly, in his work «Shamshi», seeks to delve into the mysterious nature of a unique, noble-born talent, to explore the psychological intricacies of his inner world. A true talent is always defenseless, ill-suited for the harshness of life.

Shamshi was a flowing melody. The tone of the play unfolds through Shamshi's songs.

The performance features Shamshi Kaldayakov's songs such as «Ak Mandailyim», «Kaikhta», «Keshikpey Kelem Dep Eng...», «Bakyt Kushagynda», «Sygan Serenadasy», «Ana Turyly Zhyr», «Terisky», «Menin Kazakhstanym» (National Anthem), as well as Eestai's «Kusni-Korlan», and A. Jumashov's «Akkudastan». Mukagali Makataev's «Zhazylardyk Esetlikter Men Turaly», and Kalkaman Sarin's «Minazhat-Monolog», «Kop Karganyng Andygany Olekse» are also performed.
