Immerse yourself in the moving love story of Abai and Togzhan - two souls bound by a deep and tender affection - as it unfolds through the poet’s celebrated verses and the beloved songs inspired by his poetry. This drama marks the first time the death of Abai’s sister, Kämshat, is portrayed on stage, adding a poignant layer of emotion to the narrative. Alongside the romance, the audience witnesses the stirring moment when young Abai begins to engage in public life, standing at the threshold of his journey as a thinker and reformer.

The production features musical works by renowned Kazakh composers such as S. Mukhamejanov, A. Zhubanov, M. Sagatov, G. Zhubanova, among others, enhancing the performance with rich cultural resonance.

Written by Mukhtar Auezov, the play has been adapted for the stage by Honoured Artist of Kazakhstan Nurlan Zhumaniazov, who also directs the production. Scenic design is by Aynur Yesbolatova, with choir direction by Dilara Karekenova and choreography by Alexander Vinogradov and Abilkhayir Kushkenov.
