The play by renowned Russian playwright A. Volodin is distinguished by its profound psychological depth and centres around the intertwined destinies of eight couples on the verge of divorce. Despite their differences in age, social status, and worldviews, these families are all caught in a storm of emotional turmoil - doubt, pride, and disappointment cloud their judgment, turning once-happy encounters into painful farewells. They come to court to officially dissolve their marriages, while a judge makes every effort to reconcile them. Yet, the self-absorbed husbands and wives no longer hear or understand one another.

In this production, rich in theatrical symbolism, each character represents a unique perspective and inner world. Every person is a universe of their own - a universe that can only be truly known through empathy, understanding, and, when needed, forgiveness. Featuring primarily young actors, the performance invites the audience to reflect on this simple yet profound truth about life: the complexity and beauty of human connection.
