This production reveals the turbulent fate and indomitable spirit of the Alash intellectuals through the works of the great national teacher Akhmet Baitursynuly. It portrays a generation who risked their very lives for the future of their people, those who were wrongfully persecuted, endured unspeakable suffering, were exiled to distant labour camps or executed in the years of repression. Their bravery, devotion and uncompromising fight for their nation’s ideals remain a testament known to all.
