The Pavlodar Regional Philharmonic named after Isa Bayzakov invites you to the first solo concert by baritone Alizhan Kazbekov, laureate of international and national competitions. The evening’s program brings together folk songs, arias and scenes from operas, and chamber vocal music-romances that form the foundation of academic musical art.

Alizhan Kazbekov is a graduate of the Kazakh National University of Arts. After completing his studies, he returned to his native Pavlodar, where he is now a soloist of the Isa Bayzakov Regional Philharmonic while also teaching at the music college. His first solo concert, «Grande Classica», is a creative milestone, a tribute to the traditions of vocal school, and a living testament to the continuity of generations in academic art.

Performed by the Philharmonic’s leading soloist, the audience will hear gems of Kazakh vocal classics and folk songs rich in national color and profound poetic spirit. Among them are Estay’s «Qusni Qorlan», a kind of musical anthem for all lovers, Abai’s «Ayttym Salem, Qalamqas», and other legendary works.

A significant part of the program is devoted to the operatic repertoire. The audience will hear excerpts from works by Gioachino Rossini, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Georges Bizet, as well as Kazakh opera classics, revealing vivid stage images and the drama of musical theatre.

The artist pays special attention to the Russian romance-a genre of intimate, subtle conversation with the listener that demands refined sound culture and sincerity of performance. Guests will hear such remarkable pieces as «Vdol po ulitse metelitsa metet», «Bubentsy», «Bolero», «Chto mne zhit», «Serenada Don Zhuana», «Sireni zapakh, treli solovya».

The concert will conclude with ensemble and choral performances, creating the feeling of a grand and festive finale. Special guests include: the chamber choir conducted by Honored Cultural Worker of Kazakhstan Madina Nurgozhinova, the Russian folk instruments ensemble «Lad» conducted by Honored Cultural Worker of Kazakhstan Oksana Petrushkina, soprano Sara Sadygulova (Astana), as well as the artist’s students Asiya Dauletqali, Aigerim Nygmetolla, Arina Ivanenko. Accompanists: Marina Poluektova and Amina Gabdullina.
