This concert is dedicated to unveiling the profound layers of kobyz art, weaving together the richness of Kazakh musical tradition with the spirit of contemporary symphonism. The programme features original works by Zhannar Zhusupova, traditional kyuis, as well as compositions by modern composers.

The evening opens with the kyui «Qonyr» - the timeless symbol of Korkyt’s philosophy. It will be performed by the G. Zhubanova String Quartet together with Zhannar Zhusupova herself. The programme will continue with «Zhezkiik» by Ykylas, Zhusupova’s own compositions «Qyryq Qyz», «Sagym», «Turan», the suite «Korkyt» by Arman Zhayim, a concerto for kobyz, and works by contemporary and international composers.

Joining Zhannar Zhusupova on stage are leading artistic ensembles and masters of performance: the G. Zhubanova String Quartet under the direction of Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan Yernar Myntayev; the Symphony Orchestra conducted by People’s Artist of Kazakhstan Abzal Mukhitdin; laureate of the Republican Conductors’ Competition, conductor of the Karaganda Concert Association named after K. Baizhanov - Abilkhayyr Sagymbayev; a group of kobyz players from the Kazakh Orchestra; Aiman Qarsybaeva, artist of the Sugir Kazakh Folk Instruments Orchestra and holder of the title «Excellence in Culture»; and other distinguished musicians.

The artistic essence of the concert lies in the synthesis of deep meaning and exceptional virtuosity. The sound of the kobyz is more than that of a musical instrument: it is the voice of a nation, a trace of history, and the language of art.

The concert «The Thread is Art, The Pattern is Kyui» is a tribute to the timeless art of the kobyz - a landmark cultural event that symbolises a new breath and a bright future for the national music of Kazakhstan.
