The production is based on the play «Dear Elena Sergeyevna» by renowned playwright Lyudmila Razumovskaya.

The plot is deceptively simple. A group of graduating students comes to congratulate their teacher on her birthday. At first glance, it seems like a touching surprise, but appearances are misleading. Each character has a hidden motive, separated from their goal by just one decisive step. Will they be able to come to terms with their conscience? How far are they willing to go? In the struggle for personal gain, it often seems that any means are justified…

The performance addresses timeless issues: the conflict between generations, the inner struggles of youth, and the complex relationships between students, parents, teachers, and society as a whole. A play that caused a powerful public reaction in the 1980s remains strikingly relevant today.
