In anticipation of the New Year and Christmas, the artists of the Astana Opera House will present a festive Gala Concert “Ballet and Opera: A Meeting of Inspirations”.
In the first part, the audience will see the premiere of the one-act ballet Mangiliktin Tort Syry (Four Truths – One Eternity), choreographed by the young and talented choreographer Sultanbek Gumar to the music of renowned contemporary composer Khamit Shangaliyev.
The ballet reveals the image of Love in four manifestations: from the first timid infatuation, through the collapse of illusions, to truth and unity of feelings that give birth to quiet tenderness – and, finally, to Love whose name is Eternity.
The expressive plasticity of the Astana Opera ballet dancers conveys profound reflections on the essence of relationships that give meaning to human existence.
The second part of the evening will offer a brilliant musical programme creating an exciting festive atmosphere. Love duets and trios from operas, operettas and vaudevilles will be performed by opera soloists, chorus and symphony orchestra under the baton of Italian maestro Giuseppe Acquaviva.
The audience is invited to celebrate the approaching New Year holidays in a world of music, beauty and inspiration!
