The characters of this tragicomedy are residents of the slums of a modern big city - ordinary losers. Fate has passed them by, leaving them no inheritance, no success, and no love. Some have become hardened by a string of misfortunes, their hearts driven solely by self-interest. Others, on the contrary, have managed to preserve their kindness and compassion, as if in defiance of it all. Pamela Kronky, the main heroine of the play, is one of these touching, naïve, and charming individuals. Her boundless faith in people cannot be shaken by any hardship. She is willing to forgive her offenders, even if they want to kill her; she is ready to love life, rejoicing in each new day granted to her by fate. She pushes the heavy cart of destiny along the rails of life, resisting all odds...

The scheme devised by three cunning swindlers, eager to collect an insurance payout after the death of the gentle old lady, fails - thanks to Pamela’s foresight and her wise and brave approach to every life situation.

This production was created especially for the anniversary of the theatre’s vocalist - Knight of the Order of Qurmet recipient of the Certificate of Honour from the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and holder of the «Excellent Cultural Worker» badge awarded by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the remarkable actress and educator, Galina Alexandrovna Kozhushkina.
