Folklore Ensemble «Alqissa»

The folklore ensemble «Alqissa» has gained wide recognition in a relatively short period of its artistic journey - not only within its home region, but far beyond its borders. The ensemble became a Diploma Winner of the Republican Festival-Competition of Traditional Music «Gasyrlar Sazy» in Almaty. In the same year, Alqissa took part in the Folklore Music Festival in Northern Cyprus (Turkey) and later represented Kazakhstan at a Folklore Festival in France.

The ensemble also participated in the 16th International Festival of Creative Youth «Shabyt» in Astana, where it was awarded Second Prize Laureate status. Over the years, «Alqissa» has toured extensively across the districts of the North Kazakhstan Region, as well as performing in Almaty, Astana, and Salekhard (Russian Federation). The ensemble’s repertoire includes a wide range of traditional works. As part of the anniversary concert program, special guest performers will include: Sandzhay Almishiev - recipient of the honorary «Qurmet» Order (Astana). Azamat Bakiya - laureate of international and republican competitions (Astana). Zhuldyz Mukushova - laureate of international and republican competitions (Kokshetau)
