Cucaracha

Hello to all! We have a question for you: do you remember your childhood? (Think about it for a moment). The times when we played around recklessly? When we got into mischief? Our first love? The childhood that can never return... (As you think back, a smile should appear on your face).

We’ve staged a performance based on the novella Kukaracha by Georgian author N. Dumbadze. The reason for choosing this work is that, while reading it, we couldn't help but relive all those memories you’re thinking of now - it felt like a strange déjà vu. The only difference is that our characters have different names, but the city and its people are exactly as they were in the book.

The setting and time could vary: Soviet times, ancient Rome, wartime, the present day - but the one thing that doesn’t change is the human being. No matter the era, a person remains the same. And the tears of a Kazakh are no more bitter than those of a Georgian. A child is a child everywhere, and love will always remain love, no matter when.

We hope we’ve conveyed the essence of the performance, even if we didn’t explain it in detail. In conclusion, please forgive us if we caused a little mischief on stage and let ourselves feel free (after all, we’re just little children!).
