«Money-Money» - Tour of the M. Auezov Theatre in Konaev

The main character of the play by the world-renowned English playwright Ray Cooney, Henry Perkins, unexpectedly comes across a fortune on his birthday. Discovering £1,750,000 in a briefcase, he decides it must be the rightful reward for his lifetime of honest service as an accountant. With this newfound wealth, he resolves to flee abroad. But others are not about to let him slip away so easily with such a staggering sum. From that moment, events spiral into a whirlwind of twists and turns, as each character’s true nature is revealed in the struggle for «money, money.» People who once seemed decent and ordinary become nearly unrecognisable when put to the test. Why is that so?..
