Kazakhstani pianist Yelaman Yernur will make his solo debut at the Astana Opera House as part of the International Festival “Operalia”. The programme features works by classical composers P. Tchaikovsky, S. Rachmaninoff, and one of the last Romantic composers, Rachmaninoff’s friend, Nikolai Medtner.

Yelaman Yernur is a talented pianist recognized for his outstanding performances at international competitions in the UAE, Russia, Spain, the USA and Kazakhstan. His recent achievements include Third Prize at the 4th International N. Medtner Memorial Competition (St. Petersburg, 2025).

A graduate of the A. Zhubanov Republican Kazakh Specialized Boarding Music School for Gifted Children (under G. Kazybekova), he continued his studies at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and completed postgraduate studies under Professor A. Mndoyants. He also refined his skills with renowned Russian pianist E. Mechetina.
