Big Almaty Lake Walking Tour

Gathering time: 06:30 in the morning
Return time: around 15:00/16:00

Route:

The first 3-4 km - asphalt road, moderate ascent, open terrain.

Then the serpentine road begins, with a steady but gradual climb.

Along the way you will see canyons, mountain peaks, and springs.

The road is wide; occasionally observatory staff cars may pass by.

Distance: approx. 11 km one way
Walking time: 2.5-4 hours (depending on pace)
Difficulty: medium - suitable for physically fit participants

This is a hiking tour! You will need to walk approx. 9-10 km one way (about 4-4.5 hours).

Departure: from Almaty
Arrival back: depends on road conditions and group punctuality.
