Just an amazing fool
«Just an Amazing Fool» is a drama, written by S. Bazhenova, director-producer V. Drozdetsky, and production designer T. Ushakova. Love can be different. Love for one's business, love for a woman, love of a mother for her son.... And this love, for a son, can be all-consuming, sweeping away everything in its path - so strong that, as an adult, he has not yet found his own personal life, but has become a successful scientist. This is the situation into which the hero of the play «How Zoya fed the geese» by Svetlana Bazhenova finds himself. Vladimir Drozdetsky, the director and head of Temirtau Theatre for Children and Youth, calls this play a story about love. And of course, it is a story about something else - and for each spectator these messages will be their own.
About the Director:
Vladimir Vladimirovich Drozdetsky graduated in 1992 from the T. Zhurgenov State Academy of Arts in Almaty. Since 2004, he has been working at the Temirtau Theatre for Children and Youth. From 1992 to 2014, he served as the artistic director of the Youth Theatre Studio in Temirtau.
He works as a stage director at the theatre, producing a variety of performances. Over the course of his career, Vladimir Vladimirovich has directed 17 productions, which have been proudly presented at regional, national, and international festivals, often earning him finalist and laureate distinctions.
About the Playwright:
Svetlana Eduardovna Bazhenova is a Russian playwright, born in 1990 in Omsk. She graduated from Dostoevsky Omsk State University with a degree in acting, and from the Yekaterinburg State Theatre Institute (Nikolai Kolyada’s workshop) with a degree in literary creativity.
She has performed as an actress at the TOP-Theatre and worked as a director at the Center for Contemporary Drama in Yekaterinburg. Since 2017, she has served as the director and artistic leader of the Center for Contemporary Drama «Omsk». Svetlana is the recipient of the Special Jury Prize at the «Eurasia-2013» competition, second prize at «Eurasia-2014», and first prize at «Eurasia-2015».
Svetlana Bazhenova began writing plays at the age of 21. Her first publication appeared in 2013 in the journal Contemporary Drama. That same year, she was included in the longlist for the Debut literary award with her plays «Differently» and «Interview with Alexey Volkov».
