The concerts of the “Screen Melodies” series — initiated and conducted for many years by the talented musician Alikhan Idrissov — are always highly anticipated events for lovers of film music. Each performance consistently draws full houses, testifying to the audience’s lasting affection for this unique project.
Familiar melodies accompanied by scenes from beloved films, combined with the heartfelt interpretations of the performers, create the magical atmosphere of a musical movie night.
The festive concert features hits from iconic Kazakhstani films of the past — Kyz Zhibek, My Name is Kozha, Angel Wearing Tubeteika, Our Kind Doctor, The Song Calls, Love Station — as well as well-known music from contemporary cinema such as Astana – My Love, Brother or Marriage, Kazakh Business, Zhanym-2, The Old Man, Julia, and more.
Audiences will also be transported back to carefree childhood through music from animated classics like Someone Else’s Children, Aksak Kulan, and others.
