We invite you to a bright and inspiring concert by the jazz orchestra and soloists посвящённый the 85th anniversary of the Pavlodar Regional Philharmonic named after Isa Bayzakov - the region’s leading concert venue and a guardian of outstanding musical traditions and creative achievements.

2026 marks a special chapter in the history of the Pavlodar Regional Philharmonic. For 85 years, this great artistic alliance of professional musicians and conductors, vocalists, a chamber choir, and choreographic ensembles has served high art, shaped musical taste and style, promoted the best human qualities, values, and traditions, and created a distinctive cultural atmosphere for the region. Founded during the harsh wartime years, the Philharmonic became a true center of духовности, bringing generations of listeners together and gifting people joy, inspiration, and beauty.

The anniversary program opens with the legendary jazz orchestra led by Maestro Viktor Sheykin - a Philharmonic veteran, a recipient of the Qurmet Order, and a conductor whose name has become synonymous with exceptional professionalism and impeccable musical taste. Rightfully considered one of the Philharmonic’s calling cards, the ensemble will present a rich, dynamic, and emotionally vibrant program that unites masterpieces of world jazz classics with the finest examples of domestic pop music.

The evening begins with Arturo Sandoval’s virtuosic «Funky Cha-Cha,» followed by the energetic «Hit the Ground Running» by Gordon Goodwin, and the lyrical «For Brothers» by Jimmy Giuffre.

A special place in the program is reserved for works by Kazakh composers. Accompanied by the orchestra, the songs «Aq Tilek» by Seidolla Baiterekov (lyrics by Zeinolla Sakiev) and «Osiet» by Almas Duisenov (to the words of Nartugan zhyrau) will be performed by the brilliant Zhibek Aitbayeva, celebrated for her expressive timbre.

A true gift for the audience will be the performance of the young yet already beloved Pavlodar singer Vladislav Galaktionov, who will present the iconic «More» from Frank Sinatra’s repertoire and the legendary «Smells Like Teen Spirit» by Nirvana in an original jazz interpretation.

Solo parts will delight listeners with saxophonists Yuriy Khalimon (Honored Worker of Culture of Kazakhstan), Yerkebulan Aldabergenov, and Evgeniy Ishchenko. The finale of the evening will feature the fiery «Barbados» by Paul Lee and «Samba del Gringo» by Gordon Goodwin, filling the hall with rhythm, драйв, and genuine joy.
