Saigulik

This is a poetic stage production inspired by the creative life and youthful memories of Tabildi Dosymov, the first Kazakh bard poet. The play reflects the fate of a man whose short life was interwoven with music. However, it does not aim to portray his biography with documentary precision, but rather invites the audience into a world of imagination, where they can listen closely to his melodic voice and immerse themselves in his artistic spirit. It is well known that Tabildi was a versatile artist in the bard tradition, composing music for his own poems and performing them with a guitar. After the era of Kazakh traveling singers and poets, or sal-seri, few artists have been able to master multiple forms of art in such a profound way.
