Sashenka and the Bear (KATMK)
The fairy tale by S. Levin offers a fresh twist on a familiar theme - it turns out that not only Masha has had a magical encounter with a bear! There's another little girl now - Sashenka.
Unlike Masha, who was clever and helpful, Sashenka had to learn quite a few things - things that many modern girls might not even know how to do! How do you clean a house without a vacuum cleaner? Wash clothes without a washing machine? Knead dough with no smart kitchen gadgets?
As it turns out, when you're in an unusual situation, your own two hands can work wonders. Getting lost in the forest became a true blessing for Sashenka. The bear taught her valuable skills, carried her safely home, and her grandparents were overjoyed to welcome back such a capable and resourceful granddaughter.
This charming and imaginative tale was brought to life by the artists of the Buratino puppet studio, directed by Maria Yakimchuk. The director chose rod puppets for the performance - giving them impressive volume and movement, allowing the story to break through the traditional stage and reach right into the audience.
The enchantment is deepened by the constant presence of cheerful jesters among the spectators. The set design is bright and magical - everything you would expect from a children’s puppet show.
With delicate translucent foliage and soft shades dancing through the clouds and forest glades, modern technology and the director's artistic talent together create a true fairy tale - not just for little ones, but for their parents as well. The work of the set designers is nothing short of breathtaking, resulting in a beautiful and heartwarming show for all ages.
