Folklore Ensemble Tsveten in Petropavlovsk
TSVETEN is a Russian professional folklore ensemble performing traditional songs from different regions of Russia in an ethno-pop style. Founded in 1999 in Kurgan, it has become one of the most popular online folk collectives in this genre. The group is known for its distinctive and recognisable sound, masterfully blending authentic ancient melodies with contemporary music design.
Their performances feature vivid stage direction, authentic national costumes, interaction with the audience, and modern arrangements, immersing listeners in the atmosphere of old Russia through the prism of the modern world. The programme includes lively dance songs, tender lyric pieces, and enchanting ethnic motifs.
Tsveten has appeared on major Russian federal TV channels such as Russia 1, Channel One, NTV, and OTR, participating in shows like Privet, Andrey!, Pole Chudes, Sto k Odnomu, Strana Talantov, Poedem, Poedim, Utro Rossii, Dobroe Utro, and others. In 2022, the ensemble became a laureate of the International World of Siberia Ethnic Music Festival. In 2021, it was ranked among the Top 20 folklore ensembles in Russia as part of the national project Culture.
The ensemble has taken part in the Songs of Russia festival marathon led by Nadezhda Babkina, as well as the World Youth Festival in Sirius. In 2023, they headlined the Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, and in 2022 - the Karavon Festival in Tatarstan, the Bazhov and Bushuyev festivals in the Southern Urals (2022-2024), and the Flavours of Russia Festival in Moscow (2023). They are also regular performers at the Russia Exhibition at VDNH in Moscow. In 2024, the ensemble celebrated its 25th anniversary with a major jubilee tour across Russia.
