Concert: «National Orchestra in Uralsk»

From 29 November to 2 December 2025, the pride of Kazakhstan’s national musical art, the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Orchestra of Folk Instruments, embarked on a tour to the West Kazakhstan region, the homeland of Kazakh kyuis (traditional instrumental pieces).

As part of the tour, on 2 December at 19:00, a grand two-part concert will take place at the Atameken Concert Hall in Oral city, featuring the full orchestra.

The programme will include both original Kazakh compositions and outstanding examples of world music.

Joining the orchestra will be: Batyrzhan Myktybaev, Honoured Figure of Kazakhstan and master dombyra player (kyushi); distinguished cultural figures Asel Zhylkyshynova and Asel Alimbaeva; and laureates of international and national competitions — Asel Rakymzhan, Tolganay Pazylyakyn, Askhat Urpekov, and Nurgalim Amanbay.

The Artistic Director of the orchestra is Honoured Figure of Kazakhstan Batyrzhan Myktybaev, and the Principal Conductor is Order of Honour recipient Ablay Tilepbergen. Conductors include Honoured Figure of Kazakhstan Dzheksen Aysin and international competition laureate Naryn Kazhgali.
