Vaska
A young man named Vanya, faced with his mother’s illness, has to take in her cat Vaska and bring him from the countryside to his city apartment. Vaska isn’t too happy about leaving his rural home, but he has no choice.
In the new place, he meets a House Spirit who explains the peculiar ways of life in this apartment. Everyone here seems to be searching for love in their own way: Vanya meets Larisa, a nurse, who in turn introduces Vaska to her sphinx cat, Nefertiti - though she turns out to be not as simple as she seems. Even the House Spirit is courting his own lady spirit. This is a story about inhabitants of different worlds, the world of humans, animals, and supernatural beings, all brought together by one shared space, one apartment where their adventures unfold. The performance is at once funny and touching, heart-warming and thought-provoking.
And above all, it is extraordinary, for here animals and spirits can both speak and understand.
