Mutual Misunderstanding
This is a performance about the fragile line between words and silence - where every glance and every gesture speaks louder than a thousand phrases. It tells the story of people who, despite their sincere efforts to understand each other, find themselves separated by an invisible wall of miscommunication. Their longing to connect crashes into barriers that are often unseen, yet deeply felt.
At the heart of this production lies a profound philosophy: how often do we fail to hear or see one another, even when we’re close? How often do our feelings go unanswered, our hopes unmet? This performance invites reflection - not only on the importance of speaking, but also on the art of truly listening.
The music was composed by Anton Miklosic, and lighting design was crafted by Yaroslav Maksimenko. The project offers a unique exploration of the complexity of human relationships - both emotional and physical - expressed through the language of movement and dance.
Audience Reviews:
«Mutual Misunderstanding is a show that speaks without words - and yet, it is profoundly clear and deeply moving. The physicality, the movement, the music - they all convey emotion more precisely than any dialogue could. It’s a story of two people who were once close but now walk different paths. I recognised myself in it. Every glance, every gesture carries what words cannot express but the heart understands. A powerful performance that leaves a mark.» - Irina, loving wife.
«This is a subtle, deeply honest exploration of human connection. The actors’ performances are remarkable, the psychological nuances are spot-on, and the mix of drama and irony makes this show powerful and unforgettable. I’m still thinking about it - it stays with you.» - Svetlana, practicing psychologist.
«This performance struck me on a personal level. It captured those moments when two close people stop truly hearing each other - when words and actions no longer bridge the gap, but widen it. The acting is so compelling, it’s impossible not to see yourself in the story. I caught myself reliving my own experience on stage. An honest, moving piece that leaves you full of emotions and questions. And the post-show discussion - that felt like therapy.» - Mikhail, regular attendee.
