A celebration symbolising the arrival of spring, the awakening of nature and the joy of life, Korisu Ait has its origins in deep antiquity. Today, it is experiencing a new revival, embracing a contemporary sound while preserving the rich spiritual heritage of the people.

Traditional kuis and folk songs, national rituals, respect for elders, the values of family unity, generous dastarkhans and the ringing laughter of children give this festival its special warmth and heartfelt atmosphere.

The festive programme of the concert “Kuimen Kelgen Korisu” will be presented by masters of traditional art – performers on the dombra and kobyz, opera soloists, instrumental musicians, as well as the Astana Opera Chamber Chorus. Audiences can look forward to a vibrant musical evening filled with living traditions, sincere emotions and the spirit of spring renewal.
