«TOQYLDAQ» is a social drama that brings to light the issues so often found in school life, yet so rarely spoken about aloud. The production explores relationships between students, the pressure and fear that build in silence, and how bullying and extortion take root, along with the damage they leave behind.
At the heart of the play is an incident that begins as a seemingly harmless game, but spirals into consequences that become dangerously real. The characters gradually realize that ideas like «being friends», «staying quiet» and «telling the truth» can turn into painfully heavy choices. The fear hidden in the word «Toqyldaq,» the urge to dodge responsibility, and adults stepping in too late, each of these brings the story to the edge of tragedy.
This is not a story about one person alone, it speaks to a shared reality faced by teenagers today. The play doesn’t ask the audience to judge; it invites them to think, to understand, and not to remain indifferent.
