The World of Abai

On 10 August 2025 at 17:00, the Chamber Hall of the Yerkegali Rakhmadiyev State Academic Philharmonic will host «The World of Abai», a concert by Honoured Artist of Kazakhstan Azamat Zhyltyrkozov.

This special evening is dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the great poet Abai Kunanbaiuly. Abai’s legacy remains a timeless spiritual compass of the Kazakh nation. «The World of Abai» is a musical and poetic tribute to the poet’s oeuvre, presented as a stage composition through a fresh and artistic lens.

The programme will feature Abai’s original songs as well as musical works based on his poetry by prominent composers such as S. Mukhamedzhanov, T. Mukhamedzhanov, Y. Rakhmadiyev, N. Tlendiev, and N. Mendigaliyev. In addition, arias from the opera Abai by A. Zhubanov and L. Khamidi will be performed.
