«The Art of the String Quartet»

On January 17, 2026, at 5:00 PM, the State String Quartet named after G. Zhubanova will present the concert «The Art of the String Quartet» at the E. Rakhmadiyev State Academic Philharmonic.

The program features Joseph Haydn’s String Quartet No. 2 (Op. 33), a landmark of the Viennese Classical School, and Ludwig van Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 12 (Op. 127), which significantly expanded the philosophical and expressive scope of the quartet genre.
The evening will also include A. Sagimbayev’s «Elim-ai», offering a contemporary chamber interpretation of a traditional Kazakh melody.
