The Central Museum of Railway Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan is one of the country's specialised museums, located in the city of Almaty. It is dedicated to the rich history of the development of Kazakhstan's railway industry. The museum carefully preserves the memory of key milestones in the establishment and modernisation of the railway system.
Its collection includes a wide range of exhibits, from historical documents and photographs to scale models of locomotives, carriages, and various elements of railway technology. Special focus is given to the most significant stages in the evolution of the railway network.
The exhibitions are housed in a former railway station building, seamlessly blending a historical atmosphere with modern methods of presentation. The museum actively engages with visitors, organises guided tours, and contributes significantly to preserving the country’s technical and cultural heritage.
