The fourth concert in the “An Hour without Gadgets” series, “From Violin to Double Bass”, is dedicated to the family of string instruments the foundation of every symphony orchestra. This time we invite young listeners on a fascinating journey through the world of strings from the gentle, singing voice of the violin to the powerful and good-natured double bass.

Together with the host, children will not only hear famous melodies, but also learn what makes a bow different from a tuning peg, why the double bass is so large, and how all these diverse instruments manage to play in harmony.

This hour will be a wonderful introduction to the world of classical music, showing that an orchestra is like one big, friendly family.
